Wake Up Call
Everyone of you reading this has dreams. Maybe it’s a place you want to see or a book you want to write. As I watched like so many others in horror as the great cathedral of Notre Dame burned, I was reminded that we must act before it is too late. I was lucky enough to stand in Notre Dame many years ago and I will never forget it. The awe you experience the moment you step inside. Its ethereal beauty. It is one of the wonders of the world – a testament to the amazing things man can create.
This tragic event has reminded me that nothing is forever – that we must see things now, we must act while we can. The waters are rising over Venice, many historic places are falling into disrepair, and none of us is getting any younger. I’m using this tragedy as a wake-up call to plan my next adventure. I hope you will too.
